VII. Mandatory “Just for fun League” Rules to have fun!!
1. The JFFL keeps track of gross and net scores and points won/lost for handicap and standing purposes only! In other words – IT’S JUST FOR FUN.
With that said here are some rules to help us have fun!
a. Please be honest about your score! --If someone asks you about your score on the last hole just think about it – re-add the strokes in your head and see if you forgot to count any strokes. It happens to the best of us!
b. Pace of play!!! If you can’t find your ball and everyone agrees that it should have been playable, then agree to take a free drop and don’t take more than a minute or two looking for your ball. The lawn mower will find it the next day! Play buddy golf and watch where each other’s balls go!
c. If you can’t find your ball and it’s agreed that it is out of play, just take a stroke and drop another ball on the line it went OB (no closer to the hole) and keep moving.
d. Please don’t dilly dally (Paul’s words) around. Keep a good pace of play. The course card says each hole should take no longer than 15 minutes.
e. Tantrums are optional! Hammering a club into the ground, throwing clubs (except at teammates and opponents) and cursing are all optional! If you throw a club into the water do not slow up the pace of play by wading in after it! You can come back after the round if you changed your mind and want to retrieve the club.

If totally new teams are allowed to start after league play has begun an average of all team scores will be the starting score of the new team. Totally new teams that start after league play has begun may only start if approved by the league co-presidents
- The golf season will begin, weather permitting, on the 2nd or 3rd Tuesday in April and will consist of weekly team matches to include at least two “Position Rounds.”
- JFFL League Tee Times are set from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the night of league play. Teams wanting to play any earlier than this must coordinate with the Eagles Landing Pro Shop.
- Teams will make their own arrangements as to what time to start their match. If there are any arrangements to play other than normal round dates, the League Presidents should be notified of the agreement. All matches that are postponed must be played by the next Saturday and the League Presidents informed of the outcome. If this does not occur, the team seeking the postponement will forfeit the match.
